AI Hub

AI Hub @ Karlsruhe

We are organizing an interdisciplinary networking event at KIT to bring researchers and practitioners with different backgrounds, at different career stages, and from different communities together to meet and exchange ideas about the recent developments and applications of AI.

Our goal is not to hold an “academic conference”, but to create an environment where different players can meet, discuss and share the exciting developments in their fields. By combining expert talks and networking sessions, the event will create new opportunities, particularly for young scientists to form strong bonds with the AI-driven academic circles and the industry.

AI across communities

Artificial Intelligence is becoming a central topic of discussion across disciplines, sectors and societies. While the opportunities are exciting, there are still many unknowns and challenges to overcome before we understand and critically analyse its impact on us. For each field, even the definition of AI tends to vary, which is naturally reflected on the way its potential is interpreted. In our event, we would like address this heterogeneity and discuss the role of AI in different fields and talk about its impact on research, education, safety and ethics.

Networking breaks

In between sessions, we are holding networking breaks, in which participants of all spectrum can organically contact one another. We are strong believers that scientific breakthroughs with high impact can occur when different community come together.

Meet and discuss with peers your ideas, projects and concerns over a nice cup of coffee!

Poster Session

AI @ KIT

“AI @ KIT”  is a showcase for young KIT scientists, to present their current research topics and/or AI-oriented projects.

Here we aim to create a more subject-oriented networking interface that can bring KIT research groups, invited speakers, guests from industry, as well as the students together.

Posterboards have a size of 1200 (W) x 1500 (H) mm. We recommend to use A0 posters.

Invited Startups

We are inviting startups to present how they managed to solve important problems using recent advances in AI.

You will hear about the success stories of different AI companies and how they transformed a problem into an opportunity .
